Ahmed Mostafa Zizo has received offers to leave Al Ahly during the upcoming summer transfer window. However, the player is determined to stay with the Red Devils and achieve success.
Zizo is facing a wave of criticism after failing to make the expected impact so far, leading to speculation about his potential departure from Al Ahly less than a year after joining the club.
Arab and European Offers Reach Zizo
According to Mostafa Zizo, the Al Ahly star’s father, his son has received numerous offers in recent months, but he has no intention of leaving Al Ahly.
Zizo’s father stated in media interviews, “A player of Zizo’s caliber constantly receives offers and interest from various clubs, but we never consider leaving Al Ahly.”
He added, “Zizo is not thinking about leaving Al Ahly at all, whether on loan or permanently. My son wants to make history with Al Ahly.”

Al Ahly Confident Zizo Will Stay
The WINWIN platform quoted a source within Al Ahly confirming that the Egyptian club has not received any offers to sell or loan Zizo this summer.
The source emphasized that Zizo has not expressed any desire to leave Al Ahly, reiterating his father’s statement that the 29-year-old wants to stay with the club and achieve numerous team and individual titles.
Zizo believes that the current situation at Al Ahly is temporary and that the club will sooner or later return to its winning ways, regaining its dominance in all local and continental competitions.
According to the source, Zizo has already set a goal of participating with Al Ahly in the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup in three years’ time, and until then, he hopes to win every possible title.
What has Zizo offered Al Ahly this season?
Since joining Al Ahly at the beginning of last summer, Zizo has participated in 23 matches across all competitions, but his performances and statistics haven’t reached even a quarter of what he achieved during his impressive spell with Zamalek.
Zizo participated in 14 Egyptian Premier League matches, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists. In the CAF Champions League, he contributed one assist, in addition to two assists in the Egyptian Super Cup.
What is the truth about Al Ahly’s negotiations with Regragui to replace Thorup?
Overall, Zizo has scored only 4 goals and provided 7 assists this season. He has also clearly struggled with inconsistency, plagued by injuries and frequent changes in position and playing style.
Al Ahly is experiencing a difficult season
Al Ahly finds itself in an unusual situation this season, experiencing technical and administrative instability that has resulted in the loss of most titles so far.
Al Ahly began the current season with Spanish coach José Ribeiro, who was then dismissed in September. Emad El Nahhas took over temporarily before the Danish coach, Jess Thorup, was appointed.
Under the guidance of the former Augsburg coach, Al Ahly exited the Egyptian Cup early at the hands of Telecom Egypt, followed by a major blow: a home and away defeat to Tunisia’s Esperance, resulting in their elimination from the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
Al Ahly currently sits third in the Egyptian Premier League standings, three points behind joint leaders Zamalek and Pyramids, before the start of the crucial second phase of the competition.
In response to these developments, Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib decided to dismiss all committees responsible for managing football affairs, granting full authority to Yassin Mansour and Sayed Abdel-Hafiz to oversee the first team and youth sectors.
Al Ahly wants to dismiss coach Thorup, but due to his hefty €6 million release clause, the Dane will remain at least until the end of the current season, regardless of the league’s outcome.
