Mbappé clears Real Madrid of ‘wrong foot’ accusations

Kylian Mbappé has denied reports that Real Madrid’s medical staff examined the wrong knee, causing his pain to worsen and sidelining him for a period of time.

French newspapers had reported a misdiagnosis by Real Madrid’s doctor, claiming he examined a different knee.

As a result, Florentino Pérez’s administration decided to dismiss the medical staff appointed in 2023, especially since the player’s injury recurred, forcing him to miss several matches.

In recent statements on Wednesday, Mbappé confirmed that the reports were false and purely fictional.

The French international said, “The reports that Real Madrid diagnosed the wrong knee are completely untrue. We have always communicated clearly and transparently, and there are no problems.”

He added, “I’m happy that I don’t feel pain in either knee now. I owe a lot to Real Madrid. I’m very happy to be here and healthy.”

It is worth noting that Mbappe is currently participating with the French national team during the international break, having returned to play since the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Manchester City.
