Numerous rumors have circulated in recent hours regarding Emam Ashour’s potential departure from Al-Ahly and his possible transfer to Al-Qadisiyah in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Ashour has faced considerable criticism in recent weeks following several disagreements with the club’s management and a sharp decline in his performance, coinciding with a significant drop in Al-Ahly’s results.
It was recently reported that Ashour’s agent had finalized an agreement with Al-Qadisiyah’s management to sign the Egyptian star, whose contract with the Red Devils still has two years remaining.
However, a source from Al-Qadisiyah denied these rumors to the WINWIN platform, emphasizing that no talks have taken place whatsoever between the Saudi officials and the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile, Ashour’s agent has indeed offered him to Al-Qadisiyah, but the club has yet to accept or reject the offer. They are waiting until the end of the season before discussing all summer transfer plans with manager Brendan Rodgers.
It is worth noting that Emam Ashour received an offer last January from French club Lens, but Al Ahly refused to let their star player leave and insisted on keeping him at least until the end of the current season.
It is expected that Emam Ashour will leave Al Ahly unless he receives a significant pay raise, amidst interest from several European clubs, and now Saudi Arabia has also entered the race.
