Mundo Deportivo has revealed the club Bernardo Silva prefers to join next summer.
The Portuguese international’s contract with Manchester City expires at the end of the current season, and he has decided to embark on a new adventure outside the Premier League.
Juventus is considered the club most interested in signing Bernardo, given the Bianconeri’s desire for a complete overhaul to return to competing for titles once again.
According to the latest report, Bernardo aspires to move to Barcelona and is prepared to make the necessary concessions to achieve his dream, including a significant pay cut.
If Bernardo had to choose between Juventus and Barcelona, he would choose Barça, and he has informed his agent, Jorge Mendes, of this.
The deal is practically straightforward; Mendes has close relationships with Deco and Joan Laporta, and the player wants Barcelona. However, the obstacle lies with the Catalan club itself.
Barcelona are still hesitant to sign the 31-year-old, believing that the midfield doesn’t need strengthening at the moment given the abundance of stars already in that position.
Barcelona haven’t made a final decision, although it seems likely they won’t sign Bernardo in the end, which would open the door for Juventus to secure his services.
