After leaving Morocco, Regragui rejects Arab offers

Walid Regragui has rejected the opportunity to return to coaching in the Arabian Gulf, preferring to wait for a chance to manage a European club in the next stage of his career.

Regragui has parted ways with the Moroccan national team, and the official announcement is expected in the coming hours, with Mohamed Ouahabi, a World Cup winner with Morocco’s under-20 team, being appointed as his successor.

According to the “Foot Mercato” network, Regragui received a lucrative offer from the Saudi league, but he rejected it, deciding that his next step in his career will not be in Arab football.

The Moroccan coach hopes to have the opportunity to coach in one of the top five European leagues, specifically the English Premier League or the Spanish La Liga.

The report indicates that some clubs in both leagues have already held talks with Regragui, but the situation remains unclear.

Moroccan media had previously reported negotiations between Al-Ittihad and Regragui to take over the reins next season, but it now appears the Moroccan coach has completely rejected the idea.
