The French newspaper L’Équipe has confirmed that Jürgen Klopp is on his way out of his position as head of football at Red Bull, making him a strong candidate to coach Real Madrid next summer.
Alvaro Arbeloa’s departure from Real Madrid now seems imminent given the team’s poor results, unless he manages to pull off a surprise victory and win the Champions League title.
The latest report from the French newspaper indicates significant tensions between Red Bull’s management and Klopp, with a division of opinion regarding his continued tenure beyond the current season.
Klopp has failed to deliver the expected revolution at Red Bull clubs, with the biggest disappointment being his experience at RB Leipzig, where his insistence on hiring Uli Werner has ultimately cast doubt on even European qualification for next season.
All these factors, among others, make Klopp’s departure from Red Bull highly likely in the coming months, and the 60-year-old may decide to return to coaching.
Real Madrid is monitoring the situation and hopes to convince Klopp to coach them, even though negotiations in this regard will be very complicated, given that the coach will not allow Florentino Perez to have complete control over the reins of power or what is currently happening in the dressing room.
