Ronaldo was previously asked if he would pursue a coaching career after retiring from football, to which he replied that he prefers to work in administration, specifically through club ownership.
Ronaldo already owns a 15% stake in Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, and is now embarking on his first European club investment with Almería, currently playing in the Spanish second division.
According to press reports, Almería and Al-Nassr are just the beginning. The Portuguese star dreams of eventually owning Manchester United, the club where his journey to glory truly began.
Ronaldo is confident he can own United one day, especially since the Portuguese legend’s fortune already exceeds one billion dollars. He is simply waiting for the right time to take such a significant step.
Manchester United is currently owned by the American Glazer family and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who purchased a 25% stake in the English giants for $1.3 billion in 2023.
Some reports suggest the Glazer family will sell their entire stake by 2027 at the latest. The question then arises: will Ronaldo act on his dream by then, or will he wait a long time to return to Old Trafford as a club owner?
