Zamalek climbed to the top of the 2026 Egyptian Premier League standings after defeating Zed FC 2-1 in Matchday 19.
In the match held at Cairo International Stadium, Juan Bezerra opened the scoring for Zamalek in the 22nd minute, before Raafat Khal equalized for Zed FC in the 74th minute.
In the 82nd minute, Ahmed Rabia scored the winning goal for Zamalek, securing the White Knights’ sixth consecutive victory in the Egyptian Premier League.
Zamalek has defeated Tala’ea El-Gaish, Petrojet, Ismaily Electricity, Smouha, Haras El-Hodoud, and now Zed FC, in a run that began last November.
Meanwhile, Ceramica Cleopatra drew 1-1 with Ismaily, while Pyramids FC defeated Ghazl El-Mahalla 3-1.
With these results, Zamalek tops the Egyptian Premier League standings with 37 points, tied with Pyramids, but with a superior goal difference.
Al Ahly sits in second place with 36 points, level with Ceramica Cleopatra, but with a game in hand.
