Simeone Reaches Agreement with Top European Club to Coach Them Next Season

The separation between Atlético Madrid and Diego Simeone is now only a matter of time, and Lucho has already begun planning his next move after leaving the Wanda Metropolitano. It seems he has decided on his next step.

Reports have emerged in recent weeks of considerable anger among Atlético Madrid’s new owners regarding Simeone’s management of the team, particularly given their failure to compete in La Liga and their lackluster performance in the Champions League.

Simeone’s relationship with sporting director Mateo Alemany has deteriorated, and the board is inclined to support Alemany and believes it is best to end the Argentine coach’s 12-year tenure in the Spanish capital.

According to Spanish media reports, there is a preliminary agreement between Simeone and Italian giants Inter Milan for him to take over as Nerazzurri coach next season, replacing current manager Chievo.

While Chievo are likely to lead Inter to the Serie A title, their performances haven’t impressed either the management or the fans. Therefore, Beppe Marotta is leaning towards bringing in another coach with a strong personality, capable of elevating Inter to the ranks of European giants.

Simeone previously wore the Inter jersey from 1997 to 1999, making 85 appearances at the San Siro, scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists. He also contributed to the Italian giants’ victory in the 1998 UEFA Cup.

On several occasions, Simeone has expressed his desire to return to Inter as manager, and it seems the opportunity now presents itself, given the ideal circumstances for all parties involved.
