Despite the fierce rivalry between clubs, human connection between players remains paramount. AS revealed that during Barcelona star Ronald Araujo’s recent struggles, he received a call from a Real Madrid player offering support and urging him to come back stronger.
This player is Vinicius Junior, who, despite a clearly strained relationship with Araujo due to previous Clásico incidents, made a point of supporting his teammate after his recent difficulties.
Araujo commented on receiving support from players outside of Barcelona, saying, “It really surprised me. When I decided to stop playing, I didn’t imagine it would have such a big impact, but of course, we are at Barcelona.”
Araujo declined to name those who supported him, saying only, “Players from other teams in Italy and Germany expressed their appreciation for what I did. Some told me they had gone through the same experience but remained silent, perhaps because they are paid, or because they feared being suspended, or because of the public’s reaction… Many praised my courage.”
According to AS, during Araujo’s ordeal, he received a call from Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, who checked on him and offered support and encouragement.
After the Spanish Super Cup final, Araujo and Vinicius were seen embracing, as were Dani Ceballos and Dani Carvajal, who inquired about his well-being and offered their support.
