Keith Winess, the former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive, told Football Insider that Slott would be sacked if Liverpool lost two of their next three games. Since then, the team has beaten Newcastle and lost to City.
This places immense importance on Wednesday night’s trip to Sunderland regarding Slott’s future, although it’s highly likely the club’s hierarchy will consider the City debacle the final straw.
