Reports, specifically from the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, indicate that Toni Kroos has personally intervened to persuade Jürgen Klopp to reconsider his refusal to return to coaching, hoping he will take charge of Real Madrid next season.
The German coach remains Florentino Pérez’s top target to succeed Álvaro Arbeloa at the helm of the Royal Club, while Klopp is determined to continue in his managerial role with Red Bull, believing he is more comfortable there than embarking on a new, high-pressure experience.
According to the latest report, Kroos met with Klopp to urge him to take the Real Madrid job, emphasizing that it is a rare opportunity and stressing that his chances of success at the Santiago Bernabéu are extremely high.
Kroos is now acting as an intermediary between Real Madrid and Klopp, and once the 58-year-old agrees to the idea, Florentino Pérez’s administration will move immediately to secure his services and finalize the deal as quickly as possible.
In this regard, the Spanish newspaper predicts that Kroos’s role may not be limited to that of a mere intermediary, but could extend to working as Klopp’s assistant coach at Real Madrid, facilitating the German’s adaptation to Los Blancos, particularly given the language barrier.
It’s worth noting that Klopp has previously stated his lack of interest in coaching Real Madrid, indicating that he has no plans to return to coaching in the near future, regardless of the incentives.
