Marcus Rashford has decided to stay with Barcelona next season and will not return to Manchester United.
Barça can buy Rashford for €30 million next summer, the value of the purchase option in the England international’s loan agreement with the Catalan club.
In recent days, there have been reports of Michael Carrick’s interest in bringing Rashford back to solve the left-wing problem at Old Trafford, especially given the excellent relationship between the two.
According to the Mirror, Rashford has no intention of returning to Manchester United and sees his future only with Barcelona, where he feels secure and has received excellent treatment, unlike the pressures he faced in northern England.
At the same time, the newspaper denied reports that United’s management intends to bring the 28-year-old back to the club after the departure of Ruben Amorim, and confirmed that the Red Devils are currently waiting for Barcelona to activate the purchase option at any moment.
The only obstacle to completing this deal is that Barcelona doesn’t want to pay the buyout clause and prefers to negotiate it and the payment method in line with the financial situation at Camp Nou.
However, a solution that satisfies all parties is expected soon, especially since everyone agrees that Rashford should end up at Barcelona on a permanent contract.
