Ariyadhiah newspaper reported that Karim Benzema will transfer to Al-Hilal from Al-Ittihad for six months, until the end of the current season.
Benzema submitted a request to Al-Ittihad’s management to leave the club this winter, after the modest offer presented by the Jeddah Tigers to renew his contract, which expires next June.
It is said that Cristiano Ronaldo expressed extreme anger at the support Al-Hilal received in the winter transfer window, most recently with the signing of Benzema, which delayed the completion of the deal in the final hours of the winter transfer window.
However, according to Ariyadhiah newspaper, the Saudi Investment Fund agreed to sell Benzema to Al-Hilal, and the French star reached a full agreement with the Blue Wave on all personal contract terms.
Al-Ittihad will lose another star player, as the fund also agreed to sell N’Golo Kanté to Fenerbahçe, based on the player’s desire to leave King Abdullah Sports City this winter.
In contrast, Al-Ittihad will make a swift move to replace Karim Benzema, signing Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahçe. The Saudi club’s management has also reached an agreement with Gustavo Sá from Famalicão to fill the void left by N’Golo Kanté in midfield.
It’s worth noting that Al-Ittihad has received further promises of major signings next summer, including a big-name star to fill the gap that Karim Benzema will leave in Sérgio Conceição’s squad.
