Sky Sports reported that Fenerbahçe star Youssef En-Nesyri will replace Karim Benzema at Al-Ittihad for the remainder of the season.
Benzema is nearing a formal move to Al-Hilal after his relationship with Al-Ittihad collapsed due to the modest offer presented by the Jeddah club to the Real Madrid legend.
Recent reports indicate that Al-Ittihad has made a move to sign En-Nesyri, potentially as part of a swap deal that would see N’Golo Kanté move to Fenerbahçe.
Since the start of the winter transfer window, En-Nesyri has wanted to leave the Turkish club and was very close to joining Juventus. However, the deal fell through after he demanded a long-term contract rather than a loan until the end of the season.
There is a near-agreement between Fenerbahçe and Al-Ittihad for Kanté to join the Turkish giants, and negotiations are now underway to finalize the En-Nesyri deal as well, which would see the Moroccan international experience his first season in the Saudi Professional League.
It is worth noting that En-Nesyri scored 8 goals in 26 matches this season with Fenerbahce, in addition to participating in the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco and leading his country to the final.
