Endrick expressed his happiness with his new journey at Lyon, indicating that he feels very comfortable there, alluding to his experiences during his time last year at Real Madrid.
The Brazilian international was forced to leave Real Madrid on loan to Lyon at the beginning of 2026 after falling completely out of favor with then-manager Xabi Alonso.
Endrick quickly made his mark at Lyon, scoring four goals in just three matches, and it has been reported that the French club will seek to extend his loan until the summer of 2026 at the Parc des Princes.
The 19-year-old spoke about his time at Lyon so far, saying, “Since I arrived, the communication with my teammates and the coaching staff has been excellent. I truly thank them for their daily support.”
He added, “My meeting with the directors was crucial. I immediately felt their confidence, and that’s why I moved to Lyon. I found a cohesive team here where friendship prevails, which is important, if not the most important thing.”
Endrick continued, hinting that he found the opposite at Real Madrid: “If there’s cohesion on and off the pitch, things become much smoother and more natural.”
Endrick left the door open to staying with Lyon beyond this season, saying, “Only God knows what will happen.”
It’s worth noting that English media outlets reported Chelsea’s interest in signing Endrick, but journalists close to Real Madrid’s management responded that the player is untouchable and will return to the Santiago Bernabéu.
