Vinicius Junior’s anger towards Real Madrid has intensified following the treatment he received from the club’s fans during last Saturday’s La Liga match against Levante.
From the moment he entered the pitch for warm-ups, the Brazilian star was subjected to a barrage of boos from the Santiago Bernabéu crowd, which continued with every touch of the ball throughout the game.
Vinicius was forced to leave the stadium quickly at the final whistle without acknowledging the fans, fearing further jeers.
According to Spanish media reports, Vinicius is deeply disappointed with the fans, especially considering his long history of helping Real Madrid win titles and achieve success. He never expected to become the scapegoat for the team’s struggles this season.
The reports quoted Vinicius as telling those around him that he “doesn’t want to play for a club where he doesn’t feel welcome,” referring to the fierce criticism he has faced both in the stands and on social media from Real Madrid supporters.
Renewal negotiations between Vinicius and Real Madrid remain stalled due to the player’s high financial demands, and they may become even more complicated given the fans’ disapproval of the 25-year-old.
Chelsea are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Vinicius next summer, with Real Madrid willing to sell him if he insists on not renewing his contract, rather than letting him leave for free in the summer of 2027.
Marca revealed that there is a sense of sadness among Real Madrid players and management regarding the chants and whistles directed at Vinicius Junior.
