An Arab country is close to hosting the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup

Morocco is nearing the honor of hosting the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup, according to reports from the renowned Moroccan newspaper Hespress.

Morocco already impressed everyone during its hosting of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, thanks to its outstanding stadiums, large and enthusiastic crowds, excellent hospitality, and ideal logistical arrangements.

Now, FIFA is still searching for a host for the second edition of the Club World Cup in its new format, amidst interest from several countries including Brazil, Qatar, Spain, Saudi Arabia, and others.

However, the latest report confirms that Morocco has secured the bid with a 99% certainty, and it is only a matter of time before FIFA officially announces that the tournament will be held on African soil for the first time.

FIFA views the 2029 edition as an advanced test of Morocco’s infrastructure and organizational capabilities, including stadiums, logistical facilities, and accumulated experience in managing major football tournaments, one year before co-hosting the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal.

The 2029 Club World Cup is scheduled to feature 32 teams, just like the inaugural edition held in the United States, which Chelsea won against Paris Saint-Germain.
