Cristiano Ronaldo Wins Globe Soccer Award 2025

Cristiano Ronaldo added another accolade to his collection of individual awards, winning the Globe Soccer Award for Best Player in the Middle East 2025.

The Best Player in the Middle East award was introduced in 2024, and Ronaldo also won it last year.

This year, the Portuguese star was competing against Karim Benzema of Al-Ittihad, Salem Al-Dawsari of Al-Hilal, and Riyad Mahrez of Al-Ahli for the regional title.

Ultimately, Ronaldo secured the award after his outstanding performances with Al-Nassr throughout 2024, even though the team failed to win any titles.

Ronaldo won the Saudi Pro League top scorer title last season, but Al-Nassr finished fourth domestically, exited the AFC Champions League in the quarterfinals, and were eliminated from the King’s Cup in the round of 16.

The Globe Soccer Awards are based on fan votes and expert opinions. They were first launched in 2015 in Dubai, UAE, and are presented in more than 21 categories.
