Barcelona is facing a new predicament regarding Ansu Fati, who is currently on loan at Monaco.
The Spanish international joined the French club last summer on a one-year loan with an option to buy in the summer of 2026.
Fati had a good start with Monaco, but since the dismissal of Adi Hütter and the appointment of Sébastien Pocognoli, things have taken a dramatic turn.
Renowned journalist Romain Molina revealed that Monaco no longer wants Ansu Fati and that they might try to terminate his loan in January.
Fati earns a very high salary, which Barcelona cannot afford to pay in full in January, putting the Catalan club in a difficult position if Monaco insists on ending the loan.
In any case, even if Fati stays until the end of the season, he will return to Barcelona, as his contract with the Catalan club runs until the summer of 2028.
This season, Fati has made 14 appearances for Monaco, scoring just 6 goals. The player will have to find a new club next January if his loan ends, and in any case, he is not in Barcelona’s plans for either the upcoming winter or summer transfer windows.
