Rodrygo scored his first La Liga goal for Real Madrid in 26 matches against Alavés on Sunday.
The score was tied 1-1 when Vinicius Junior skillfully cut inside from the left flank.
The Brazilian then passed the ball to Rodrygo inside the six-yard box, and his compatriot made no mistake, firing a first-time shot into the net to put Real Madrid ahead again in the 76th minute.

This is Rodrygo’s second goal of the season, having opened his account in Wednesday’s Champions League match against Manchester City, which Real Madrid lost 2-1.
Rodrygo’s last La Liga goal came in January 2025 against Las Palmas, a match in which Real Madrid won 4-1 and also provided two assists.
Strangely, from then until now, Rodrigo has not made any contribution until this jinx was broken in the Alaves match, reflecting a decline in his level on the one hand, and his lack of consistent participation on the other.
