Mohamed Salah will feature in Liverpool’s Premier League match against Brighton on Saturday after making a temporary reconciliation with manager Arne Slot.
The Dutchman revealed at a press conference on Friday that he would be meeting with the Egyptian star that evening to discuss the events of the previous week.
According to English media reports, the meeting between the two was “very positive,” even though it did not completely resolve the issue between them.
During the meeting, Slot and Salah worked to clear the air, and ultimately shook hands, indicating that an agreement had been reached to de-escalate the situation.
Slot decided to include the 33-year-old in the Reds’ squad for the Brighton match, which will be Salah’s last before heading to Morocco to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations with the Egyptian national team.
Reports indicate that the issue between the manager and the player is not entirely resolved, but Friday’s meeting was a positive step towards reconciliation and restoring their positive relationship before November.
Meanwhile, The Athletic revealed that Liverpool’s management decided to hold a meeting with Salah, but only after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, to discuss his future and in the hope of ending the crisis completely.
