It seems that Omar Marmoush’s days at Manchester City are numbered, and a loan move in January is more likely than ever.
Marmoush has seen limited playing time this season, and it’s clear that manager Pep Guardiola prefers other attacking options.
The situation has deteriorated to the point where City are reportedly looking to sign a new attacking player in January, which would effectively end any hopes the Egyptian has of playing time in the remaining months.
The Times newspaper indicated that City are seriously considering signing Bournemouth star Antonio Simeone in January.
Simeno could leave Bournemouth in January for just €65 million, and Liverpool were among the clubs most interested in him, with the player being touted as the successor to Mohamed Salah at Anfield.
With City now firmly in the race for the player, the final decision rests with the player himself: whether to join Pep Guardiola’s squad or opt for Liverpool.
It is worth noting that Italian media outlets have observed Roma’s particular interest in signing Omar Marmoush on loan, and it now appears that the deal could be finalized.
