Barcelona star sidelined for two weeks with injury

Barcelona will be without one of their key players for two weeks due to injury.

According to the Catalan club, Fermín López has a minor injury to his right calf muscle and needs at least two weeks of rest.

The Spanish international sustained the injury during the recent Champions League match against Chelsea, leaving Stamford Bridge after just 62 minutes.

As a result, López will initially miss the La Liga matches against Alavés, Atlético Madrid, and Real Betis. His return – barring any setbacks – is expected against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on December 9th.

Fermin López has made 13 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.

He joins a growing list of injured Barcelona players, including Marc-André ter Stegen and Xavi, while Pedri is expected to return for the Alavés match on Saturday.
