Florian Wirtz and Conor Bradley have been sidelined with injuries and will be out for a period of time, according to manager Arne Slot, who spoke at the pre-match press conference for Liverpool’s game against Nottingham Forest on Friday.
Wirtz played in Germany’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Slovakia, but returned to Liverpool with a muscle injury.
Slot stated that both Wirtz and Bradley are suffering from muscle injuries. The English player will be out for 22 days, more than three weeks, while the duration of Bradley’s absence is not yet specified, but it is not expected to be lengthy.
The good news for Liverpool is that first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker has recovered, and Alexander Isak is available for selection after a month-long absence. Joe Gomez will not train but is expected to be available for the upcoming match against Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Frimpong will not return to Liverpool for at least three weeks after suffering a recurrence of his injury.
Liverpool currently sit eighth in the Premier League table with 18 points, eight points behind leaders Arsenal.
