To face Messi… Yamal demands Barcelona resolve the crisis with Spain

Lamine Yamal has made it very clear to the Barcelona management that he wants the Catalan club to resolve its dispute with the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The crisis between Barcelona and the Spanish national team began when Yamal suffered a groin injury during the September international break. Joan Laporta’s administration accused coach Luis de la Fuente of negligence after he decided to give the player painkillers to play in the match against Turkey, which subsequently worsened the injury.

Yamal missed the October training camp due to the injury and was supposed to participate in the November camp. However, the club decided to have him undergo surgery without informing the RFEF, after which he was excluded, sparking a war of words between the two sides.

According to the newspaper AS, Yamal is eager to play for Spain in the upcoming March international break, specifically for the Faenásica match against Argentina, scheduled for March 27 at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

The 18-year-old feels caught in the middle of a conflict for which he bears no responsibility. He simply wants to recover as quickly as possible and play at the highest level, whether for Barcelona or the Spanish national team.

Therefore, Yamal has contacted Barcelona officials to resolve the issue with the national team. As a result, Joan Laporta will meet with the president of the Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Lozano, to discuss the matter and end any dispute between the two parties as soon as possible.

Yamal is expected to be fit to play for Barcelona immediately after the international break, facing Athletic Bilbao in La Liga next Saturday, followed by the Champions League match against Chelsea.
