Algerian media outlets have reported that the Algerian Football Federation is working to bring Ethan Mbappé, Kylian Mbappé’s brother, to play for the “Desert Warriors” in the 2026 World Cup.
Mbappé has Algerian roots through his mother, Fayza Lamari, and Algerian officials want to capitalize on this to convince him to represent the national team, especially since his chances of playing for the French national team seem very slim.
According to reports, Algerian federation officials will contact Fayza Lamari in the coming weeks to discuss the matter with her, hoping she can persuade Ethan to make this move, particularly as she is practically the one managing her sons’ football careers.
