Barcelona has set its sights on signing Lanús’ rising star, Tomás De Martís.
De Martís is a 17-year-old striker who primarily plays as a center forward.
Despite his young age, De Martís has already been promoted to the first team at Lanús, which plays in the Argentine Primera División.
Furthermore, he has scored an impressive seven goals in eight appearances for Argentina’s under-17 national team.
According to recent reports, Barcelona scouts have been closely monitoring Tomás De Martís for several months, making an early attempt to secure his services before European competition for his signature intensifies.
Barcelona scouts are observing the player during his participation with the Argentine under-17 national team in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, currently being held in Qatar.
De Martís has yet to score despite starting two of the first three group stage matches. His next test will be on November 14 against Mexico in the Round of 32.
