How long will Pedri be out for Barcelona?

Barcelona announced in an official statement that Pedri has suffered an injury, noting that his return to the pitch will depend on the speed of his recovery.

According to the statement, Pedri experienced pain at the end of last Sunday’s El Clásico, and after undergoing comprehensive tests, he was diagnosed with a tear in his left hamstring.

The newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that Pedri’s absence from Barcelona will last at least three weeks, keeping him out until the end of the upcoming international break.

Later, the newspaper Sport confirmed that the injury is worse than initially thought, and that Pedri’s absence could extend to two months.

Thus, it is now certain that the 23-year-old will miss the matches against Elche, Celta Vigo, and Club Brugge, and will also miss Spain’s final matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Pedri will also be unavailable for the matches against Athletic Bilbao, Chelsea, and Alavés, and may return against Atlético Madrid, or at the latest against Real Betis on December 7.

Pedri is one of the most involved players this season, having played 13 games for Barcelona and 4 for the Spanish national team since last August. Overall, he has participated in the last 49 matches for his club and country, reflecting the extent of the strain he is experiencing and the danger of rushing his return to the field before a full recovery.
