As soon as the final whistle blew for El Clásico and Real Madrid won 2-1 over Barcelona, the club’s players exploded at Lamine Yamal in response to his controversial comments about Los Blancos in recent days.
Yamal had said in a podcast that “Real Madrid steals and then complains.” He later said that he was not afraid of El Clásico and had put his fear behind him. It was reported that Florentino Pérez’s administration was considering filing an official complaint against the 18-year-old because of his words.
After El Clásico, Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal approached Yamal and appeared to reprimand him with words that the 18-year-old did not like. Then goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois appeared from afar, and the two players nearly came to blows. The verbal altercation continued.
But the biggest incident fell to Vinicius Junior, who tried to hit Yamal and kept making a “don’t talk too much” gesture at him.
Due to these incidents, Real Madrid players and even Yamal himself may be punished, provided the referee notes what happened in his final report.
