FIFA has announced its October 2025 national team rankings, which saw Morocco decline and Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia advance.
Spain remains the top-ranked team, with Argentina securing second place, while France slipped to third. England is fourth and Portugal fifth.
As for the Arab world, Morocco remains the highest-ranked team, but it has dropped to 12th place, down from 11th in last month’s rankings. This is understandable given that Morocco is playing a friendly this month, while the rest of the teams are playing official matches.
Egypt’s national team moved up three places to 32nd, while Algeria ranked 35th and Tunisia ranked 43rd. Saudi Arabia also moved up slightly, reaching 58th place after successfully qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
This ranking is not expected to change significantly in November. The November ranking will be used to divide the teams into four pots for the 2026 World Cup draw, which will be held in December in the United States.
