Manchester City star Erling Haaland remains the highest-paid player in the English Premier League, according to a list published by the Spanish newspaper Marca, which also includes the names of Egyptian duo Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.
The Norwegian international renewed his contract with City a few months ago, keeping him with the English club for another nine years. To achieve this, the club’s management provided him with an astronomical salary, making him one of the highest-paid players in the top five leagues, not just the Premier League.
According to Marca, Haaland earns €600,000 per week, while Liverpool star Mohamed Salah comes in second place with a weekly salary of €480,000. Behind them is Casemiro, who earns €400,000 per week with Manchester United.
Manchester City star Omar Marmoush also made the list, earning €339,000 per week, making him the ninth-highest-paid player in the Premier League. This isn’t surprising, given that he arrived at the Etihad Stadium after a remarkable run with Eintracht Frankfurt, making him one of the world’s top players last season.
Perhaps the most bizarre figure on the list comes from Chelsea. The Blues pay Raheem Sterling €374,000 per week, making him the fifth-highest-paid player in the Premier League. Yet the player doesn’t even train with the first team and has been completely out of the plans of coach Enzo Maresca this season.
