Barcelona received good news in the last few hours, after club officials reached an agreement with one of the team’s most prominent players to renew his contract and reduce his salary.
The subject here is Frenkie de Jong, who, according to Sport, has said yes to renewing with the Blaugrana despite receiving multiple offers recently. He will remain with Barça until at least the summer of 2029.
De Jong’s old contract was one of the most controversial due to its extremely high salary. However, the new contract, thanks to the Dutch star’s new agent, will be more in line with Barcelona’s financial situation. This time, there has been no significant negotiations due to the player’s desire to remain at Camp Nou.
