Zamalek and Al Ahly’s opponents in the Round of 32 of the 2025-26 CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League have been determined.
The two Egyptian football giants were exempted from the first preliminary round and will advance directly to the second round. Should they advance, they will advance to the quarterfinals (group stage).
As for Al Ahly, the Red Castle will face Burundi’s Egle Noirs, who defeated Djibouti’s ASAS Télécom after a goalless draw in the first leg and a 1-1 draw in the second leg.
Trézéguet’s teammates are scheduled to begin their Champions League journey against the Burundian champions in the first leg on October 17, 18, or 19. The return leg will be played in Cairo on October 24, 25, or 26.
As for Zamalek, the White Knights will face their Somali counterpart, Dekedaha, after defeating Sudanese club Al-Zamalek 1-0 in the first leg and losing 2-1 in the second leg, benefiting from the away goals rule.
Zamalek will play their Somali counterpart, Dekedaha, in the first leg of the Round of 32 away from home on October 17th, 18th, or 19th.
The second leg between the Egyptian champions and the Somali champions will be held in Cairo on October 24th, 25th, or 26th.
