Nuno Santo has returned to the Premier League and will take over at West Ham, replacing Englishman Graham Potter.
Santo was sacked by Nottingham Forest less than a month ago due to simmering disagreements with the club’s owner and despite a good start to the season with the City Ground team.
Meanwhile, Graham Potter has endured one of West Ham’s worst starts in history, losing five of six matches this season in all competitions.
As a result, West Ham’s board has officially announced Potter’s dismissal, after just nine months at the London Stadium.
According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, West Ham have reached an agreement with Nuno Santo to succeed Potter, in a move that appears to be ideal for both parties.
The Portuguese will take over at West Ham starting Saturday and has signed a two-year contract with the prestigious London club.
Santo has extensive experience in the English Premier League, having previously coached Wolverhampton Wanderers. He also coached Tottenham, then moved to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad before returning to the Premier League two years ago with Nottingham Forest.
