Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that there is a strong possibility that Harry Kane will return to Tottenham after the 2026 World Cup.
The England international’s contract with Bayern Munich still runs until the summer of 2027, but he could leave the Allianz Arena next summer due to a small release clause.
Bild reported that Kane’s release clause is worth €56 million, effective next summer, but he must inform Bayern Munich by January of his desire to leave before he can activate it.
According to Romano, Kane is considering a return to Tottenham, especially since Spurs’ door remains wide open to him. This is evidenced by coach Thomas Frank’s recent statements, in which he confirmed that he, like the London club’s fans, dream of “Prince Kane” returning home.
Ultimately, the decision will rest with Kane himself, and it appears the 31-year-old hasn’t decided his future, especially since he’s extremely happy at Bayern Munich and his chances of winning trophies with the Bavarians are much higher than with Tottenham.
Kane spent more than 10 years at Tottenham without winning a single major title. Since joining Bayern Munich in 2023, he has won two Bundesliga titles and the German Super Cup.
It’s worth noting that in his two years with Bayern Munich, Kane scored 98 goals and provided 29 assists in 103 appearances across all competitions.
