A Real Madrid star is on the radar of three major Saudi clubs for a potential signing in the summer of 2026.
According to reliable Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur on his X account, this star is Antonio Rüdiger, and the clubs interested in him are Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, and Al-Ittihad.
The German international’s contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2026, and there are question marks over Florentino Pérez’s intention to offer him a new contract, especially given his advancing age and the numerous injuries he has suffered in recent months.
Saudi clubs are closely monitoring the situation and are preparing to pounce on Rüdiger once they confirm that he is no longer in Real Madrid’s plans for next season, especially since there is a belief that, regardless of the financial compensation, the player will prefer to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu if offered a renewal.
From the Real Madrid management’s perspective, there is no definitive decision regarding the 32-year-old Rüdiger. The most likely scenario so far is that he will leave next summer, allowing Los Blancos to sign a young defender to join Dejan Huijsen as the long-term center-back for Xabi Alonso.
Rüdiger suffered a new injury a few days ago that will keep him out of Real Madrid until the end of the year. This is his second major injury this year, having undergone surgery last April, which ended his season.
It is worth noting that Al-Nassr tried to sign Rüdiger during the last transfer window, but the player refused and insisted on staying. Real Madrid’s management also insisted on his continued presence at the time, but things are expected to change next year.
