Mbappé Scores Historic Goal in Ukraine, Equals Henry

Kylian Mbappé is on the verge of becoming France’s all-time leading scorer after another goal for Les Bleus.

Mbappé participated in France’s match against Ukraine in the first round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, and as usual, he made sure to leave his mark on the result.

Bradley Barcola put France ahead in the opening moments of the match, and Mbappé then scored the second goal in the 81st minute after an assist from his Real Madrid teammate Aurelien Tchouameni.

With this goal, the 25-year-old Mbappé took his tally for France to 51 goals in just 91 appearances, equaling the legendary Thierry Henry.

Mbappé is now France’s second-highest all-time scorer, just seven goals behind Olivier Giroud, meaning the Real Madrid star is practically within striking distance of taking over first place.

This is Mbappé’s fourth goal in four matches since the start of the new season, whether with Real Madrid or France.
