Just 24 hours after losing the Saudi Super Cup with Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo quickly returned to the public eye.
The Portuguese star was seen at the Esports World Cup, held in Saudi Arabia, where he presented the tournament trophy to the winners.
The grand ceremony was also attended by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Ronaldo arrived in Saudi Arabia this morning after a week in Hong Kong, during which he participated in the Saudi Super Cup, contributing an assist and scoring another goal.
The Portuguese scored in the final against Al-Ahli and also scored a penalty kick, but his team ultimately lost 5-4, continuing his drought of collective titles with the Knights of Najd.
Ronaldo’s appearance was not intended to provoke or otherwise upset Al-Nassr fans. Ronaldo is the ambassador for the Esports World Cup, and it is not the first time he has appeared at such events.
