Defensa Central revealed two exciting promises made by Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé to club president Florentino Pérez during a conversation they held hours before the start of the 2025-26 La Liga season.
Mbappé’s first season at the Santiago Bernabéu was not entirely successful. Although the French international became Real Madrid’s top scorer in his first season, he lost all domestic competitions, winning only the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup.
During a meeting with Perez, Mbappé promised him that he would bring the Champions League back to Real Madrid this season and would perform as well as expected, if not better.
The 25-year-old’s second promise to the club’s historic president was about a personal goal. Mbappé assured him that he would do his best to surpass the 50-goal mark this season, which reflects the high standards he sets for himself.
Mbappé’s season with Real Madrid kicks off next Tuesday, when Xabi Alonso’s side hosts Osasuna in the first round of La Liga at the Santiago Bernabéu.
It should be noted that in his first season with Real Madrid, Mbappé has played 59 matches, scoring 44 goals and providing five assists.
