Al-Nassr’s Group in the 2026 AFC Champions League 2

Al-Nassr will participate in the AFC Champions League 2 for the first time in its history after finishing third in the 2024-25 Saudi League. Despite rumors that the club intended to decline participation, the decision was ultimately made to participate in the continental competition.

The AFC Champions League 2 is held according to the traditional format in Asia, with 32 teams participating, 16 from the West and 16 from the East, divided into eight groups: four from the West and four from the East.

The draw, held Friday morning in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, placed Al-Nassr in what appears to be a manageable group.

Al-Alamy will be in Group D alongside Al-Zawraa of Iraq, Istiklol of Tajikistan, and FC Goa of India.

The competition will kick off on September 16, and Al-Nassr is expected to field substitutes except in the final rounds, given the congested season on all levels.

The results of the AFC Champions League 2020 group stage draw are as follows:

Group A: Al Wasl (UAE) – Esteghlal (Iran) – Muharraq (Bahrain) – Al Wehdat (Jordan)

Group B: Al Ahli (Qatar) – Anjigun (Uzbekistan) – Arkadag (Turkmenistan) – Al Khalidiya (Bahrain)

Group C: Foolad Sepahan (Iran) – Al Hussein (Jordan) – Esteghlal (Tajikistan) – Ahal (Turkmenistan)

Group D: Al Nassr (Saudi Arabia) – Al Zawraa (Iraq) – Esteghlal Dusheti (Tajikistan) – FC Goa (India)
