The Portuguese newspaper “A Bola” reported that Cristiano Ronaldo and his coach at Al-Nassr, Jorge Jesus, have opened negotiations with Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, with the aim of transferring him to the Knights of Najd during the current summer transfer window.
Al-Nassr is working to strengthen its ranks with strong signings, the latest of which was the signing of Joao Felix. Now, the Saudi club is looking to sign a new attacking midfielder, especially with the expected departure of Portuguese Otavio, with Bruno Fernandes emerging as the ideal choice.
However, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, there is no truth to what A Bola reported about negotiations between Bruno and Al-Nassr led by Ronaldo. He stated that the Portuguese player does not intend to leave Manchester United this year, regardless of the nature of the offers available to him.
Indeed, Fernandes rejected a huge offer from Al Hilal before the 2025 Club World Cup. Currently, he is solely focused on Manchester United’s new project, convinced that the winds of change will positively impact Old Trafford under coach Ruben Amorim.
Ronaldo has become a key player in Al Nassr’s negotiations with any star, especially a Portuguese one, as was the case with Joao Felix, where the Portuguese’s call sealed the deal after the player was close to returning to Benfica.
However, Ronaldo has not contacted the 29-year-old Fernandes, clearly aware, as does Jesus, that signing Bruno is virtually impossible. Everything reported by ABOLA in this regard is completely untrue.
