Olmo: Barcelona’s signings are much better than Real Madrid’s

Barcelona player Dani Olmo believes his club has made much better signings than Real Madrid during the current summer transfer window, believing this gives the Catalans an advantage in the new season.

Barcelona signed goalkeeper Juan Garcia from Espanyol and the Swede of Syrian descent, Ronnie Bardez, and their latest move was the loan signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, has spent more money, starting with the signing of Dejan Huijsen from Bournemouth for €58 million, followed by the transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool for €10 million, and finally the transfer of left-back Álvaro Carreras from Benfica for €50 million.

Olmo told Cadena Cope, “We (Barcelona) have made much better signings than Real Madrid.”

He added, “Real Madrid will also want to sign the best players, so this is very good from that perspective. I think we’ve strengthened our squad and improved.”

He concluded, “All teams make changes in the summer and winter, and we don’t care if they sign new players. In the end, we just have to focus on our team.”

It should be noted that Barcelona has so far failed to register Garcia and Rashford with just two weeks left until the start of the new season, due to failure to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
