Zamalek Punishes Fattouh, Al-Ahly Makes Decision Regarding Emam Ashour

Ahmed Fattouh became the talk of the town after a video went viral of him attending Lebanese artist Ragheb Alama’s concert on the North Coast, while Zamalek was at a training camp in the New Administrative Capital in preparation for the new season.

On Friday, reports emerged of Fattouh’s rebellion and a crisis between him and Zamalek’s football director, Abdel Nasser Mohamed. The latter later denied the reports, confirming that the player was out of the team’s camp due to personal circumstances, specifically his uncle’s illness.

However, a few hours later, a video emerged of Fattouh at Ragheb Alama’s concert alongside Al-Ahly star Emam Ashour, sparking anger toward the Zamalek star.

Zamalek immediately issued an official statement announcing a fine of one million Egyptian pounds, the suspension of his dues, and an investigation into his attendance at a concert without the club’s permission.

Some Egyptian media outlets reported that Zamalek was seriously considering putting Fattouh up for sale, especially since the player’s problems have been almost non-stop over the past year, with numerous muscle injuries resulting from his lack of commitment.

On the other hand, Emam Ashour will not face any significant penalties. The player has received permission from Al Ahly to travel and move freely while recovering from the serious collarbone injury he sustained during his participation with the Red Castle in the Club World Cup.

It’s worth noting that Zamalek played a friendly match on Friday against Ra’a El-Gaish in the absence of Fattouh, who is expected to return to the Whites’ camp within the next few hours.
