Reports: Saudi Arabia Offers €1 Billion for Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid Welcomes Sale

While Rodrygo Goes was the most likely to leave Real Madrid this summer, Vinicius Junior appears to be the frontrunner to leave the Santiago Bernabéu, specifically to the Saudi League.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Saudi Arabia is willing to make the Brazilian international the most expensive signing in football history and the highest-paid player ever, surpassing even Cristiano Ronaldo.

Saudi Arabia will offer Real Madrid €350 million for Vinicius Junior, which would make him far more expensive than Neymar’s €222 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

Meanwhile, Vinicius will receive an astronomical salary, earning up to €1 billion over the course of his five-year contract in Saudi Arabia, or approximately €250 million per year.

Although Real Madrid’s previous stance was to reject any offer for Vinicius, the €350 million on the table represents a priceless opportunity. Thus, the Spanish club would not mind selling him, potentially bringing an early end to the Brazilian’s career in the Spanish capital.

The news of the Saudi offer comes amid strained relations between Vinicius and Real Madrid. The player is insisting on receiving €30 million per year to renew his contract, while Florentino Pérez’s administration rejects the entire deal and is determined not to lower the salary scale for him.

It’s worth noting that Vinicius previously opened the door to a future move to the Saudi League, but he has always maintained that Real Madrid is his first choice and the “club of his life” where he wants to end his career.
