Barcelona star Lamine Yamal traveled to Brazil to complete his summer vacation with his best friend and idol, Neymar.
The 17-year-old sparked controversy after appearing with a 30-year-old Spanish model on the beaches of Italy in recent days.
Yamal subsequently decided to complete his summer vacation in Brazil, where he met Neymar and was seen playing football on the sand, surfing, and other activities.
Although Yamal and Neymar’s relationship isn’t long, they share a great sense of chemistry, especially since the young player sees the Brazilian legend as a role model on the pitch.
There is no doubt that Yamal’s relationship with Neymar worries a segment of Barça fans, given that the 33-year-old Brazilian star has a hectic life off the pitch, which has been one of the reasons for his short life and frequent injuries. There is a fear that he will somehow pass this on to the player of Moroccan origin.
Yamal is scheduled to return to Barcelona on July 13, for the start of pre-season training under coach Hansi Flick.
Yamaal’s meeting with Neymar comes amidst controversy surrounding the Brazilian star’s future as his contract with Santos approaches its end and he remains undecided about whether to leave and return to Europe or continue preparing for the 2026 World Cup.
Neymar has been completely out of Barcelona’s plans in recent months due to his frequent injuries and failure to regain his form. Meanwhile, he has received offers from Europe, most notably from Turkish side Fenerbahçe.
