The popular streaming platform Netflix produced a documentary about Vinicius’s journey on the pitch, addressing the racism he experienced in La Liga.
In the film, the player and his entourage spoke specifically about what they encountered at Valencia’s Mestalla stadium, sparking widespread anger from the Spanish club and its fans.
Valencia issued an official statement denouncing the content of the film, stating that what was said by both the player and his entourage was pure lies and slander.
Valencia demanded that Netflix clarify the entire truth, or they would take legal action.
Vinicius also faces a lawsuit from Valencia’s management, a new crisis adding to his many crises in Spanish stadiums.
Vinicius was sent off twice in matches between Real Madrid and Valencia at Mestalla, where he alleged racist chants were directed at him.
