Barcelona star Lamine Yamal promised the Catalan club’s fans that he will try to bring home the Champions League title, the club’s first trophy in 10 years, following a 4-3 victory over Real Madrid that effectively sealed the La Liga title.
Barcelona exited the Champions League in a thrilling semi-final against Inter Milan after a 4-3 second-leg defeat, and now they are set to reconcile with their fans with the La Liga title and another resounding victory over Real Madrid in El Clásico.
Yamal, who scored in El Clásico, said after the match, “It was a very important match after what happened against Inter. The fans have gotten over it, and so have we. Now it’s time to enjoy it.”
He added, “It’s special to play El Clásico. It’s true that we didn’t play at Camp Nou, but we received great support from the fans here. We are very grateful to them.”
He continued, “Barcelona is the club of my life. Playing El Clásico and scoring is amazing.”
He added, “I told my mother that the Champions League is played every year, and I will keep trying to win this title and will always fight to win it.”
