Official: Barcelona duo ready for El Clásico

Alejandro Balde and Marc Casado have been given the all-clear to participate in Barcelona’s match against Real Madrid on Sunday, Round 35 of the 2025 La Liga season.

Casado has been out for nearly two months with an injury that was supposed to end his season, but he made a quick recovery.

Balde’s absence has extended to nearly three weeks, during which he missed the most important period of the season: the Copa del Rey final and the two Champions League semi-final matches against Inter.

The duo now return to Barcelona ahead of the most important match of the season, against Real Madrid, which will likely decide the fate of La Liga.

Coach Hansi Flick confirmed that Robert Lewandowski will also be fit for El Clásico, but ruled out either him or Balde starting, hinting at the same situation with Casado.

Barcelona’s only absentees for El Clásico will be Jules Kounde and Pablo Torre.

It’s worth noting that Barcelona leads the La Liga standings with 79 points, compared to 75 for Real Madrid. If they win, they will need just one point from their last three matches to officially win the domestic double.
