Liverpool sets two conditions to allow Arnold to play in the Club World Cup with Real Madrid

AS newspaper reported that Liverpool’s management has set two initial conditions for Trent Alexander-Arnold to allow him to leave early and move to Real Madrid to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup.

The English star’s contract with the Reds expires at the end of June, and sources agree that he will not renew his contract with Liverpool and that he already has an agreement with Real Madrid officials to join the royal club next summer.

Real Madrid officials want Arnold to be present at the Club World Cup, scheduled to begin on June 14, but in that case, the player would need to obtain permission from Liverpool to terminate his contract early first.

The English club’s officials have no objection to allowing Arnold to leave at the end of May, but on two conditions: the first is that the player submits an official request to do so, to demonstrate to fans that he is the one leaving early and not the management’s decision.

The second and most important condition is that the player agrees to a financial settlement with Liverpool, waiving his June salary, estimated at approximately £1 million, so that the club does not bear any financial burdens for a player who has already left.

It is reported that Liverpool will also request compensation from Real Madrid to allow Arnold to move a month before the end of his contract. The amount is said to be as high as £1.7 million, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Real Madrid hopes that Arnold will reach an agreement with Liverpool in this regard, although it does not appear easy, especially given the team’s struggles at left-back due to Dani Carvajal’s injury and Lucas Vázquez’s poor form.
